Seven cultists Nabbed In Imo

The police in Imo have arrested seven
suspected cultists at the Federal Polytechnic,
Nekede, on their way to a meeting.

The alleged cultists were arrested in a
convoy of four cars.

Policemen acting on a tip off from the
school’s management apprehended the
suspected cult group kingpin and others.

Items discovered on the detainees include
black berets and other items, signifying that
they belonged to the Black Axe
confraternity.

Imo Commissioner of Police, Adisa Bolanta,
while confirming the arrest of the suspects
claimed that the era of criminality was gone
in the state.

He assured residents that the force would
partner them to rid the state of criminals.
“Let me assure you that we will make Imo
State free from kidnappers and other
criminal elements and let me warn all
criminals to mend their ways or relocate
from the state because they will no longer
have a hiding place,” he said.
