''I Strongly Support Gay Marriage''- Jay Z
In an interview with CNN after announcing
the launch of his Made in America concert
festival, Jay-Z expressed his disdain over
discrimination of any kind.
"I’ve always thought of it as something
that was still, um, holding the country back,"
Jay Z said.
"What people do in their own homes is their
business and you can choose to love
whoever you love. That's their business. It
is no different than discriminating against
blacks. It's discrimination plain and simple."
When asked about President Barack Obama
support of gay marriage
, if this stance would hurt
support of the President among the black
Jay-Z said it doesn't matter.
"It's really not about votes. It's about
people… I think it's the right thing to do."
